Claire Craven Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claire Craven of West Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Joncas and Olive Joncas (Duquette); and her siblings, Norman Joncas and Theresa Berube. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her children, Karen A. Yetra (Richard) of Mashpee, MA, Brenda M. Craven of Cambridge, MA, Barry J. Craven (Catherine) of Reading, MA and John J. Craven (Teri) of Eugene, OR; her brother Chanel J. Joncas of Pelham, NH; her grandchildren, Brian, Mary, Kevin, Lauren and Bennett; and her great grandchild Owen Yetra.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center (301 Country Club Rd, Avon, CT 06001). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Saint Ann (289 Arch Rd, Avon, CT 06001).
Contributions may be made to either the Church of Saint Ann Scholarship Fund or the Friends of Avon Public Library.
