Richard will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ruff and Kathleen Ruff; and his sister Theresa Walsh. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Gabriella and Nicholas; his wife Pauline Ruff (McCormick); and his sons, Stephen Ruff and Peter Ruff (Erin Wilson-Ruff). He is also survived by grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home (1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark the Evangelist Church (467 Quaker Ln S, West Hartford, CT 06110).
