She was predeceased by: her parents, Patricio Martínez and Pura Rosario; and her siblings, Ramona, Miriam Martínez, Maria Méndez, Emilio, Juan, Jaime, Ramón and Ernesto Martínez.
She is survived by: her husband Vincent Torres; her children, Vanessa Torres of West Haven, Vincent Torres, III (Jessica) of Meriden and Joseph Torres (Evelyn) of New Haven; her siblings, Irma Alicea (David) and José "Che" Martínez (Manon) of Vega Baja; and her grandchildren, VJ, Joseph, Jr., Victor, Janelly, Leilani, Joselle, Jolani and Juliana. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Star of Jacob Chrisitan Church (506 Howard Ave, New Haven, CT 06519). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Star of Jacob Christian Church (506 Howard Ave, New Haven, CT 06519). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (769 Ella T Grasso Blvd, New Haven, CT 06519).
