It is with sadness that the passing of Benedetto Cortina Sr. of West Haven, Connecticut is shared. Benedetto, born on September 13, 1942, passed away on September 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lino Cortina, Sr. and Concetta Cortina (Falzarano); and his brothers, Lino Cortina, Jr. and Nicholas Cortina. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Cortina (Dattolo); his children, Diane Cortina Lengyel (Paul), Denise Cortina Fiorella, Benedetto Cortina, Jr. (Wendy) and Alicia Cortina Dube; his sisters, MaryAnn Cortina, Frances Glinsky (John) and Linda Lee Murolo (Vincent); his grandchildren, Michael Masciola, Cynthia Young, Victoria Acosta, Anthony Fiorella, Elizabeth Fiorella, Mason Dube and Sophia Dube; his great grandchildren, Selina, Sofia, Alaina, Damien and Talia; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Maiolo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
