He is survived by: his children, Kimberlee Quinlan (Bill) of Branford, Carl Peterson (Lisa) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kerri McCarty (Jeff Pierpont) of West Haven; his grandchildren, William Quinlan (Devon), Katherine Hicks (James), Matthew Peterson (Kelly Lawler), Shane Peterson and Alyson McCarty; his sisters, Alice Perrelli and Helen Palumbo (Dominic); and his siblings-in-law, Laurie Peterson and Charles Simonette (Paula). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
