It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles R. Shackford Jr. of West Haven, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Melva L. Shackford (Chang); and his parents, Charles Sr. Shackford and Anna Shackford (Waylett). He is survived by : his sons, Charles C. Shackford of Hawaii and William G. Shackford (Jennifer); his grandson of Hamden; and his brothers, Paul W. Shackford, John D. Shackford (JonAnn) and James O. Shackford (Joan) of Cheshire. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
