He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wendland and Doris Wendland (Haines); his brother Kenneth Wendland; and his brother-in-law William Melin. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Wendland (Gaudio); his children, Edward M. Wendland (Paula) of Indian Land, SC and Karen Wendland of West Haven; his grandsons, Edward R. Wendland of Syracuse, NY and Eric Wendland of St. George, UT; his sisters, Gayle Pannone (Frank) of West Haven and Janice Melin of West Haven; and his siblings-in-law, Suzanne Improta (Victor) of West Haven, Mary Ann Bennett (Peter) of Wallingford and John Gaudio (Donna) of Wolcott. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
