With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Marie Befus of West Haven, Connecticut, born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on November 16, 2023 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Marie Befus to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband John G. Befus Sr.; her parents, Magnus Riveness and Anna Amrin Riveness; her son John G. Befus Jr.; and her sister Evelyn Riveness.

She is survived by : her daughter Sharon Zahariades (Steve) of West Haven; her daughter-in-law Janet Befus of Northford; her grandchildren, Ashlie Kendall (Jon), Kyle Befus (Jen), Steven Zahariades (Joyce), Michael Zahariades (Deb), Marc Zahariades (Michelle) and Nicole Sullivan (John); her great grandchildren, Lea Zahariades, Kelli Schmaltz (John), Mitchell, Griffin, Connor Zahariades, Logan Zahariades, Liam, Jack Sullivan and Jacob Kendall; and her great great grandchildren, Oliver Zahariades and John David "JD" Schmaltz.
