John McCarthy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John McCarthy of West Haven, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 11, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McCarthy and Dorothy Devitt McCarthy; his brother Richard; his brother-in-law Joe; and his parents-in-law, Yolanda and Justin Marchese.
He is survived by: his wife Margo Marchese McCarthy; his children, Tara McCarthy, Chris McCarthy (Erika), Erin McCarthy King (Frederick), Michele Danuszar (Robert) and John McCarthy, Jr. (Beth); his grandchildren, Ella, Lucy McCarthy, Cameron, Kelsey, Devin, Alexander King, Philip, Sophia, August and Gianni Danuszar; his sisters, Dorothy Broderick (Joseph), Mary McCarthy and Eileen McCarthy; and his sister-in-law Frances McCarthy (Richard). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jenkins-King & Malerba Funeral Home (12 Franklin St, Ansonia, CT 06401). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption (61 N Cliff St, Ansonia, CT 06401).
