He was predeceased by: his wife Georgette. He is survived by: his children, Joseph R. Durante (Liz), Jill Grego (John Paul) and Julie DaCosta (Jason); his granddaughters, Emma and Mila Durante; his sister Sandy Powers; his sister-in-law Susan; his niece Tara Harvey; and his goddaughters, Jennifer and Meredith.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Joe's memory by gathering with loved ones, telling a good story, and living life with the same full-hearted joy. Additionally, a donation may be offered in his honor to The Vietnam Veterans of America, https://vva.org.
