He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel Diode Sebo Wilson; and his grandson Jehu Wilson. He is survived by: his children, Prince Wilson, Henri Wilson, James Wilson (Cecelia Wilson), Joan Wilson-Hunter (Cornelius Hunter), Joseph Wilson Jr. (Maria Wilson), Janet Nyanti Sebo Wilson, Gertrude Wilson, Wynee Wilson, Dwede Wilson Willie (P. Harvey Willie Jr.), Mack Kennedy Sr. (Nelesen Kennedy), Abraham Wilson, Josephine Shilling, Jestina Wilson Dolo (Emmanuel Dolo) and Tardy Sebo. He is also survived by his family, including many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Faith Revival Temple Church (2 Elizabeth St, West Haven, CT 06516). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
