He is survived by : his wife Maureen Lahey Byxbee; his daughters, Sara Byxbee of New Milford and Rachel Kavanagh (Marc) of West Haven; his grandchildren, Cameron, Claire Simonelli and Nora Kavanagh; and his brother William Byxbee of West Virginia.
