He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Sr. Shippy and Mary Shippy (Lynch); and his siblings, Nancy Kranzl, Deborah Brandt, Joan Barnes, Richard, Larry, John "Jack" and Allie Shippy Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Maryann Shippy (Bialobrzeski); his children, Lewis Shippy, Jr. (Jaime) and Colleen Amaro (Ernesto); his grandsons, Zach Shippy, Aidan Amaro, Evan Shippy and Eli Amaro; his sister Donna MacNeil; and his brothers-in-law, John Brandt, Roger Barnes, Ulrich Kranzl and Stanley Bialobrzeski (Rosemary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
