She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Ortíz and Maria Margarita Ortíz Vega; and her siblings, Rafaela Ortíz Vega and José Antonio Ortíz Vega. She is survived by: her husband Herminio Meléndez; her children, Yolanda Torres (Randall) of West Haven, Herminio David Meléndez (Zoraida) of New Haven and Luís Antonio Meléndez of West Haven; her brothers, Miguel Ortíz Vega and Carlos Ortíz Vega of Vega Baja; her grandsons, Randall Torres, Jr., Brian Torres, David Meléndez and Jonathan Meléndez; and her great grandchildren, Isabella and Abigail Meléndez. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
