She was predeceased by: her parents, Jamie Owens and Mary Owens; her sister Shirley Gay; and her son Derrick Owens. She is survived by: her siblings, Margaret Bryant of Rochester, NY, Freddie Harrell of Rochester, NY, Joyce Smith (George) of Raleigh, NC and Pamela Newman of Norwalk, CT.; and her grandchildren, Asia Gilbert and Dante Goodwin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
