He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth McDonough (Lersch) and William McDonough Sr. of New Haven, CT.. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Pohorilak McDonough (Marge); his children, Sheryl McDonough (James) of Wethersfield and William (Billy); his grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan McDonough of Wethersfield; his sister Valerie White; and his brother-in-law George Pohorilak (Peggy). He is also survived by niece and four nephews, and a host of friends.
