He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leavy, Sr. and Olimpia "Linda" Leavy (Rovazzini). He is survived by: his daughter Milanna; his grandson Elias of Indian Trail, NC; his brother John Leavy, Jr.; his sister-in-law Laurie Leavy (Chapman); his godson Anthony "Tony" Leavy; his nieces, Diana Leavy Carta, Denise Leavy, Ariana Leavy and Albrie Leavy; his close friend Anthony "Andy" Shelto of East Hampton; his wife Carolyn; and his children, Matthew, Elizabeth and Joshua.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel (277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield, CT 06109).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernie's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
