She was predeceased by: her husband John; and her parents, Joseph Carpenteri and Concetta Carpenteri (Inturrisi). She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Anne Lavoie (Dennis), Marie Messina (Dan) of New Caanan, Margaret Stefano of Wethersfield and Theresa Haydasz of Wethersfield; her grandchildren, Jason, Greg, Michael, Danielle and Lauren; and her niece Rosemary. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that loved ones celebrate Dee's memory by gathering with family and friends, sharing a meal and holding each other close – just as she always did.
