It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard J Walsh III of Wethersfield, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Walsh and Cora Walsh (Strickland); his sister Eileen Crapulli; his brothers-in-law, Dave Smith and John McAuliffe Jr.; his nephew Paul Smith; his great-niece Elizabeth Camilleri; and his nephew-in-law Michael Camilleri.

He is survived by : his wife Peggie (McAuliffe); his daughters, Kathleen Race (Jason Race) of Wethersfield, Kerry Cayward (Andrew Cayward) of South Windsor and Kelly Walsh (Chris Chute) of New Britain; his sister Dorothy Smith; his sister-in-law Arlene McAuliffe; his nephew Glenn; his nieces, Kim and Teri; his friends, Bob Fritsch, Craig Davis, Ron Johnson, Dave Best and Jay Tilley; and his children, Brenden Race, Connor Race, Liam Cayward, Nora Cayward and Maeve Cayward.

“In loving memory of Richard J Walsh III. I had the privilege of working with Richard Dick Walsh as an inspector with the CSAO in Rocky Hill. We all know in this field there are those humorous times and the serious ones as well. He and I made great partners as we were always thinking ahead and thought alike too. I am remembering our funny times with many "clients" and some of the very serious ones. My thoughts and prayers to Peggy and their family. Dick, May your memory be eternal.”
