Sheila Carew Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Carew of Wethersfield, Connecticut, who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Emmett Carew; and her brothers, Thomas Strong, William Strong and Richard Iverson (Dick). She is survived by : her daughter Nancy Simmons (Carew); her son-in-law Wayne Simmons of Hebron, CT; her son Sean Michael Carew of Wethersfield, CT.; her brother Frank A. Strong, Jr. (Irene) of Wethersfield, CT; her sister-in-law Marlene Iverson of Wisconsin; and her cousin Nancy Chudzik (Robert). She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sheila Strong wrote a sympathy message

“I had the pleasure of meeting Sheila at when I worked at Society For Savings. Our first meeting was over the phone, I answered, "Marketing Department this is Sheila Strong, how may I help you?" She thought it was a joke. She said she was Sheila Strong and I said I was Sheila Strong. Long story, short, her maiden name, my married name. I was also from Wethersfield and my father-in-law, William Strong was a relative somewhere along the Strong family tree. Peaceful memories to her family.”
