It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ana L. Cubi of Willimantic, Connecticut, who passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Pablo Cubi; her son Edgardo Figueroa; her parents, Yolanda Santiago and Pedro Mateo; and her siblings, Jose, Israel, Luis, Ventura Mateo and Maria Mateo.
She is survived by: her children, Iris Figueroa, Elvira Williams, Harry Figueroa, Melvin Figueroa, Efren Figueroa, Jerry Figueroa, Lemuel Figueroa, Edda Salza and Keila Cubi; her daughters-in-law, Nellie, Joan, Becky and Ivonne; and her siblings, Nilsa, Virgen, Aristides, Samuel, Sammy and Juan. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sargrado Corazon (61 Club Rd, Windham, CT 06280). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (134 Club Rd, Willimantic, CT 06226).
