He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman N. Tiemann and Lillian Tiemann (Beers); his former wife Patricia A. Tiemann; and his siblings, Newell, George, Howard Tiemann and Marianne Sellers.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Tiemann; his brother Dr. Francis Bachman Sellers; his children, Anthony S. Tiemann Jr., Timothy G. Tiemann, William P. Tiemann, Daniel P. Tiemann and Martha T. Babb; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Peter, Joshua, Hannah, William, Henry and Grace; and his great grandchild Bodie Stoddard Tiemann. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
