It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy D. Griffin of Willimantic, Connecticut, who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Durkee and Gladys Durkee (Lemire); and her sister Nancy Shea. She is survived by: her husband John W. Griffin; her friend UConn Huskies; her sons, Jeffrey Griffin and Tyler Griffin; her daughter-in-law Kat; her grandchildren, Rachel, Madison, Zoe and Fiona; her brother-in-law Francis Shea; Kerin, Katelyn and Natalie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
