It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Kenneth L. Burton of Willimantic, Connecticut, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away at the age of 75, on May 12, 2026. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Kenneth may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Burton and Marcella Burton (Maheu). He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Wooten (Matthew Wooten) of Mount Kisco, NY; his half-sister Dolce McArdle (Burton); and his uncles, Leo Maheu of Wakefield, RI and Wayne Maheu (Sandy) of Niantic. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (46 Valley St, Willimantic, CT 06226).
