We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2026, at the age of 77, Luz Machabelo of Willimantic, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tomas Machabelo and Maria Ocasio; and her son Hector Rodriguez. She is survived by: her children, MarySol Nazario (Henry Vasquez) of Chaplin, Edgardo Santos of Juana Diaz, PR and Noel Bermudez of Willimantic; her siblings, Iris Machabelo of Juana Diaz, PR and Thomas Machabelo of Juana Diaz, PR; and her grandchildren, Veronica Gonzalez, Nicolas Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Crystal Santos, Joshua Baker, Angel Pena and Audrey Bermudez. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the New Willimantic Cemetery (1774 W Main St, Willimantic, CT 06226).
