He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Lewis and Charles B. Lewis; his spouse Shirley Goodall; his brother Edward; and his daughters, Susan and Catherine.
He is survived by: his daughter Christine Radu; his son-in-law Dorel Radu; his cousin Catherine Van Herrin; his daughter Sharon Lewis Grace; his grandchildren, Tim, Jamie and Olivia Grace; and his caregiver Rev. Jinha Choi of Orem's Diner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church of Westport (49 Weston Rd, Westport, CT 06880). Charlie remained at the family home and visited Charlie visited Shirley every day (except during the pandemic).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charlie's church or American Legion Post 86, 112 Old Ridgefield Rd., Wilton, CT 06897 or to a house of worship or charity of your choosing.
