Holyoke College, Emma Ervin and Alexandra Ervin of Oberlin College; Peter Bryant and Susan Stahlberg.

“Dean and I did not know each other well, but he was often interested in subjects he knew I was working on. He asked insightful questions and though I am told in earlier years he was even more of an intellectual force to be reckoned with, I found plenty of that left in our conversations. He was also a consummate gentleman, always friendly and cheerful, always ready with a greeting, the offer of salutations to my wife and questions about activities here at Meadow Ridge. Jane and I will miss him.”
