Myrtle Prendergast Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2025, at the age of 87, Myrtle Prendergast of Wilton, Connecticut passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Myrtle Prendergast to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Willis and Vinnette Willis (Francis); her husband Ivan Prendergast, Sr.; and her son Lawrence Prendergast. She is survived by: her children, Ava Turner of Wilton, CT and Ivan Prendergast (Renata) of Wappingers Falls, NY; her grandchildren, Alexander, Melissa, Samantha, Tanisha and Chenijah; and her siblings, Rose Hilton, Delores Lewis (Lincoln), Hilda Brown (Michael), Leon Lewis and Sheila Henriques. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (512 Shenandoah Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Shenandoah Cemetery (511 Shenandoah Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Myrtle to the charity of your choice that helps children in need or the homeless.
