He was predeceased by : his parents, Stephen A Sr. Bartek and Gertrude Bartek; his siblings, Ronald, Robert, Elizabeth Marie, Barbara, Gertrude and Jean; his daughter-in-law Jean Bartek of Bethel; and his wife Mary Ann.

He is survived by : his children, Stephen A III of Bethel, Thomas of Shelton, Donna of Shelton and Stephanie of Trumbull; his brother Wayne of Norwalk; and his friends, Vic and Elianne Begin. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
