He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William W. Whitcomb and Barbara H. Whitcomb; his adoptive daughter Cheryl Seibert (Tyler) of Barkhamsted, CT; his brother William W. Whitcomb, Jr. (Barbara) of Milford, CT; and his sibling's children, Karen Bryan (David) of Franklin, MA and Brian Whitcomb (Michaela) of Cranston, RI. He was also cherished by six grandnieces and grandnephews.
