He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Godding and Gladys Godding (Robertson); and his siblings, Leonard Jr. and Gloria Arata. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Godding; his children, David Jr., Jennifer Hamza and Patricia Custer; his stepchildren, Julia Smith and Alan Colwell; his granddaughters, Ashley Errichetto and Emily Ronalter; and his sister Barbara Brown. He is also survived by his great grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Winchester Center (102 Newfield Rd, Winchester, CT 06098).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department, or an animal rescue organization of choice.
