She was predeceased by: her husband Karl Nieforth; her parents, James Whitney and Adeline Gaudette; and her brothers, Douglas and Robert Whitney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Maryellen Eldredge of Storrs and Barbara Adams of Andover, CT; her granddaughters, Haley Burns (Jeremy Burns), Kara Adams and Audra Eldredge; her great grandchild Jack Burns; her stepchildren, Kraig Nieforth (Georgia), Scott Nieforth (Melissa), Karla Adams (Randy) and Keith Nieforth (Alicia); her niece Debbie Rose Gingerella of Norwich; and her sister Margaret Regan of Windham.
