He was predeceased by: his wife Jennie Roy (Symanowicz); his parents, Charles Roy and Anna Roy (Leclerc); and his brothers, Norbert Roy and Rene Roy.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Gilly (Thomas) of Enfield, Mark Roy (Linda Bergeron) of Windsor Locks and Jeanne Roy (David Gerber) of Florida; his grandchildren, Nathan Viniconis (Corey), Craig Viniconis (Laura), Kyle Viniconis, Holly Sadowski (Adam) and Shannon Moriarty (Michael); his sisters, Huguette Duff and Claudette Richmond; and his sister-in-law Pam Roy. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home (441 Spring St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church (52 S Elm St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096). A burial was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at the St. Mary's Cemetery (220 Spring St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096).
