He is survived by: his wife Dawn Amber Bentley (Wilkman); his stepdaughter Heather Jones of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, Ariella and Anthony Jones; his siblings, John Bentley (Jennifer) of Andover and Nancy Flaherty (John) of New Haven; his siblings-in-law, Mark Wilkman (Fay), Scott Wilkman (Donna) and Susanne Goodwin (Gregg); his nephews, Frederick Peacos and Daniel Peacos (Amanda); his great-nephews, Calvin and Rory; and his pets, Wilma and Iola.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stephen's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
