We announce the death of Donald L. Komp of Windsor, Connecticut, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard D. Komp and Donna Komp (Fry); his brother-in-law Scott Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Helen Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Komp (Johnson) of Windsor; his children, Kelsey L. Nickerson (John) of Windsor and Casey R. Komp (Stephanie) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Noah, Liam, Owen, Emma Nickerson, Scarlett and Anderson Komp; and his brother-in-law Chris Johnson (Mary) of Rhode Island. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers and keeping with his love of animals (especially dogs) memorial donations may be made to two of Don's favorite charities that help train and provide service dogs ECAD or Warrior Canine Connection.
