He is survived by: his wife Hyon Yong Schumann (Kim); his son Doug Schumann, Jr. (April Brackett); his grandchildren, Daniel, Ayla and Inza; and his brother Robert Schumann (Kathleen). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, "grand-nephews".
