He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sr. Petteway and Hettie M. Petteway (Craig). He is survived by: his siblings, Earl Petteway Jr. of Middletown, Donna Whitt (Petteway) of Waterbury and Patricia Ferguson (Petteway) of Waterbury; his uncle Alexander Carl Petteway of Waterbury; his grandchildren, Gordon Jr., Jordon, Kayla, Javon, Jarrell, Chelsey and Brooklyn; his mother-in-law Hattie Reed; his siblings-in-law, David Reed of New London, Sam Reed of Naugatuck and Joyce Petteway (Hall); and his close friend Latiff Joel Christopher Goldson (Arlene) of Georgia. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
