He was predeceased by: his spouse Minnivel Higgins; his parents, William Higgins and Naomi Higgins; his siblings, Ambrozene, Ethlen, Edna, Dorothy, Ernel, Stanford, Wilfred and Dervan; and his granddaughter Amanda Higgins.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald Higgins White (Judy) of Mt. Vernon, NY, Phillip Higgins (Dana) of Windsor, Stephen Higgins (Aldeth) of Bloomfield and Sharon Higgins of Windsor; his grandchildren, Andre, Craig White, Samantha Sewell, Kyle, Tyler, Ryan, Sean, Alex Higgins, Jasmine and Jordan Owens; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Aaliyah, Marley, Craig White, Karter and Kameron Higgins; and his cousins, Marjorie Davidson, Faye Scott Clark, Greta Duffus, Patricia Higgins, Deanna Bryan, Marlene Higgins, Dawn Higgins, Earl Higgins, Rudolph Bennet, Michael Higgins, Merille Higgins, Clifford Higgins, Carlton Higgins and Sonia Dixon.
