He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Shea (Sharkey); his brothers, Michael Shea and Robert Shea; and his uncle Francis Walsh Sr.. He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn Miller (Aaron); his grandchildren, Emily and Liam of Frederick, MD; his children, Maura Shea (Joshua Zygmont) of Wethersfield and Daniel Shea (Emma); his grandchildren, Jack, Wyatt and Rhyland of Wethersfield; his aunt Mary Walsh of Southington; his brother Patrick Shea (Kathy) of Clearwater Beach, FL; and his sisters-in-law, Lisa Shea, Elizabeth Pond and Kathleen Schiller.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blessed Sacrament Parish - St. Bernard (25 St Bernard's Terrace, Vernon, CT 06066). The inurnment will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Bernard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
