He is survived by: his son Aaron Avenia; his daughter-in-law Bryna of New Hartford, CT; his sisters, Evelyn Large of Myrtle Beach, SC, Carol Keslow of Canton, CT, Debbie Soucy of Simpsonville, SC and Diane Malahan of Torrington, CT; and his grandchildren, Kaylyn, Carly, Andrew and Aiden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cook Funeral Home (82 Litchfield St, Torrington, CT 06790). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Paul the Great Parish (160 Main St, Torrington, CT 06790).
