It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley L. Calkins in Winsted, Connecticut, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William G. Calkins; her parents, William Simons and Grace Simons (Perkins); and her son William E. "Billy" Calkins. She is survived by: her children, Gary Calkins (Linda) of West Hartland, Joan Ferrell (Larry), Alan R. Calkins (Bernice) of Torrington and James Calkins; and her brother Bill Gaghan (Sandy) of Winsted. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
