He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Silas and Meta Silas Kukanskis (Urbamaviciene); his daughter Mary Silas; and his brother Leo "Al" Silas. He is survived by: his children, Paul G. Silas, Jr. (Catherine) of Glastonbury, CT, Kerri Silas Staring (Daniel Staring) of Hopkinton, MA and Robert Silas (Mariah Malinguaggio) of Wolcott, CT.; and his grandchildren, Matthew, David, Daniel, Gianna, Eva and Bella (Robin Fleischer) of Naugatuck, CT. He is also survived by several other extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
