He was predeceased by : his parents, Rosemarie Luciani (Schmidt) and Adolph Luciani; and his sister Eleanor Cozzolino. He is survived by : his children, Dolph and Brian (Julie); his wife Alison Beebe; his sister Jacqueline Hughes (David); his children, Gary and Jill (Tom); his grandchildren, Matthew, Caroline, Christian, Anna-Claire, Ellie, Alison and Nate; and his great grandchild Hailey.

He was a founding member of the UConn Dugout Club and was a member of the UConn Foundation.
