Fortune Sr. of Woodbridge, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Maher Fortune; his parents, Clinton and Anna Burdy Fortune; his daughter Nancy Lynch (Clifford); and his siblings, William Fortune, Clinton Fortune, Lois Scott and Thomas Fortune.

He is survived by: his son Douglas Fortune, Jr.; his grandchildren, Douglas Fortune, III, Clifford Lynch (Shannon), Kara Hammond and Kristine Lynch (Azita Zeyghami); his sister Evelyn "Marie" Devine; and his great grandchildren, Cody, Brett Hammond, Nicholas Fortune, Clifford and Eiley Lynch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
