He was predeceased by: his parents, Khalil Kaoud and Azizeh Kaoud; his wife Salwa Misleh Kaoud; and his brothers, Sam Kaywood of Woodbridge, Fred Kaoud of Wilton and Wadi "Willy" Kaoud of Milford.

He is survived by: his son James Kaoud (Kristina) of Woodbridge; his grandchildren, Randy James "R. J.", Jillian and Joseph "Joey" Kaoud; his siblings, Abe Kaoud (Aida) of Woodbridge and Wedad Elfar of San Jose, CA; his sisters-in-law, Jackie Kaoud of Woodbridge and Rachel Kaoud of Milford; and his brother Kaoud Rugs.
