He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha Sansonetti Gombos; and his parents, John Gombos and Elizabeth Gombos. He is survived by: his sons, Daniel H. Gombos, Jr. (Cathy) of Venice, FL and Ronald T. Gombos (Lisa) of Woodbury; and his brother-in-law Andimo Rossi. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home (39 S Benson Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Lawncroft Cemetery (1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT 06825).
