We announce the death of Eleanor M. Smith of Woodstock, Connecticut, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 88. Eleanor will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband William "Ken" Smith; her parents, Earl Fenner and Mary Fenner (Chandler); and her brothers, Ronald and Earnest Fenner.

She is survived by: her sister Julia Duquette (Francis) of Thompson; her daughters, Kim Donovanand (Rocky), Brenda Benoit (Albert, Jr.) and Susan Derosier (Philip); and her grandchildren, Sean, Kathy, Jason, Brandy, Bridgette and Maxwell. She is also survived by six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memory gift to the East Woodstock Congregational Church, PO Box 156, Woodstock, CT 06281.
