She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Jones and Thelma E. Jones; her sisters, Josephine D. Jackson and Thelma R. Harrison; and her brother-in-law Claude Jackson.
She is survived by: her son James R. Stroy; her grandchild Jamael Stroy; her siblings, Ernestine M. Pierce of Mitchellville, Maryland, Merrill E. Jones, Joseph Jones, Jr., Stanley C. Jones of Washington, D. C. and Charlene Stevenson; and her brother-in-law James Pierce III.
