With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alverta Munlyn (Washington, District of Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2025 at the age of 83. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Goode and Jasmine Holloway; her stepchildren, Janet and Ricky Munlyn; and her siblings, Leonard Howard and Claudette Merrick. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (206 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1300 Bladensburg Rd NE, Washington, DC 20002.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church's Sick and Shut-In Ministry.
