She is survived by: her husband Arthur F. Bates; her daughter Mary Elizabeth Kee (D. C. Henry Kee); her stepchildren, Arthur Anthony Bates (Tony) and Carol Bates-Morris; her sisters, Ruth Claud-Thomas and Doris Mildred Marshall; her niece Earnell Patricia Keels; and her stepgrandchildren, Joy Aikins and Arthur Anthony Bates, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
